Thanks to My Supporters, Tuesday Was a Good Day

I want to thank all the people who donated time and money to help me in my campaign for 198th District Attorney. I am honored to have run as the Democratic candidate on the same ballot as Barack Obama. I was in Columbus Ohio on election day, working as a poll observer for his campaign. I was one of millions of Americans that he inspired, and I am so thankful that he won. Obama is a scholar of the U.S. Constitution, and he will reverse some of the assaults on the rule of law we have seen under the current occupant. I wanted, in my small way, to restore the rule of law in the five counties in the 198th District.

The results in my election were about what I expected. Kerr County usually goes between 70-80% Republican, no matter who is running. I think we showed the local good ol’ boys that they won’t always get a free ride, and that they need to run a clean office, or they’ll have someone going through their financial records and asking questions.

Special thanks to Charlie Vela, who put up my signs all over town, and talked to hundreds of voters.
